Have a great weekend last Sunday doing charity work as a photographer shooting a event organized by Club Rainbow. A registered charity committed to help children with chronic and potentially life-threatening illnesses. They are currently helping more than 480 children and their families. The children suffer from a range of major chronic and potentially life-threatening illnesses like Biliary Atresia (a form of liver disorder where there is absence of bile ducts), Congenital Heart Disease, complication from being born prematurely and Spina Bifida (incomplete closure of the foetal neural tube causing damage to the nerves and spinal cord) and some others. They would like to invite more people to join them as volunteer to make a difference in the world and inspire people to pass it on!! Wedding ceremonies may differ, vows are often unique, but the tradition of wedding band with the symbolic kiss has lasted through the years, and probably will for all eternity. Same goes for these lovely couple, Ivor and Cheyenne, who makes me part of their awesome wedding documenting unforgettable moment of their lifetime. Felt happy to hear from them recently that they are expecting a baby soon, the most wonderful gift from god. I felt the joy from their smile when mentioning about the baby. Although it’s few more months before their new arrival, already saw her buying bags of toddler clothing which reminds me what I did before my daughter was born too… haha. Guess that’s what all parents will do. ;p

Delighted to receive the news this morning that we have anchored an image in the Ring Details Category positioned 6th place for AG|WPJA Q2 2011.

“I thought this was a clever approach to a portrait of rings. I wondered if perhaps the bride and groom were pianists or met in a music school. Or, maybe this was just a piano played by performers on the wedding day. The fact that I stopped to wonder about the possible significance of the piano keys as backdrop only added to the simple and direct power of the image.”
